Hi, I'm Seyi Sowemimo!

- I write scripts.

- I love outer space.

- I am on an episode of an Amazon Prime show.

How long have you been an F1 fan, what sparked your interest, and how did you become a fan?

I've been an F1 fan since April 2023. Earlier in 2023, my brother had recommended Drive to Survive for me to watch on Netflix, but I never really got to watch it, until my friend fully introduced me to the sport a couple of months later. She showed me a bunch of race clips from YouTube, and that sparked my interest enough to get me to start watching Drive to Survive. While I know that Drive to Survive isn’t fully accurate, it helped set the foundation for my love for the sport, which made me start researching everything and anything about the sport.

Who’s your favorite F1 driver, and what do you admire most about them?

As much as I like to say I don’t have a favorite driver (because I often find myself supporting over half the grid), I tend to lean towards supporting Charles Leclerc the most. What I admire most about him is his drive and determination. Despite everything he’s been through, he still pushes through and continues to inspire his fans.

What’s your favorite F1 team, and what do you admire most about them?

My favorite team is Ferrari, and what I admire most about them is their dedication and history. No matter how bad they might do on some weekends, they always bounce back. They also have a strong history, as they are one of the two teams that have been around since the start of Formula One (the second being Alfa Romeo).

What’s your favorite F1 circuit, and what do you admire most about it?

My favorite circuit is Baku, because it was the first circuit where I was able to watch the race live.

What aspect of F1 do you find the most fascinating, and why?

The aspect of F1 I find the most fascinating is the diversity of the sport. Despite it being a majorly men’s sport, there are still women doing great things for the sport.

What’s your favorite memory or moment from an F1 race or season, and why is it memorable for you?

Even though I've watched only the 2023 season live, my favorite F1 season is the 2021 season. That season had so much competition and unraveled years of rivalry. It was also the first season in a while (since 2008) that the driver who won the Drivers’ Championship was not from the team that won the Constructors’ Championship. It was also the first season I watched replays of while watching Drive to Survive to compare the show to reality.

What’s your favorite thing about the F1 community?

My favorite thing about the F1 community is how accepting most of the fans are. There are two sides of F1 Twitter, the judgemental side and the welcoming side. I was lucky to land in the latter.

What inspired you to start creating F1 content, and what are your goals as an F1 content creator?

What inspired me to start creating F1 content was my love for the sport and the need to constantly talk about it. If you know me personally, you know how much I talk about or post about the sport. My goal as an F1 content creator is to become an influential person in the Formula One community, so I can help new (and even older) fans learn more about the sport.

What’s an interesting fact about your personal life that helps your interest in F1?

An interesting fact is that I like telling stories, which can be related to F1 because each driver, each team, and even each circuit, has a story to tell.

If you could interview any F1 personality (driver, team principal, engineer, etc.), who would it be, and what questions would you ask them?

I'd interview Logan Sargeant and ask him how it feels being an American in an European sport.

"I knew this, I studied this at school, I knew what this meant, but not anymore, I forgot."
